Keeping instrument enclosures, control boxes, and small equipment housings above freezing.
Why It Matters
Control valves, pressure gauges, and data-collection devices are often housed in boxes and enclosures too small to justify a building-scale heating system, but too sensitive to leave exposed to a hard freeze. A fitted heating blanket prevents freezing and avoids damage to the equipment inside, without the cost or complexity of heat-tracing or enclosing the whole area.
